I am always looking for different methods to monetize the blog in ways that are not intrusive. I hate a cluttered site filled with banners, ads, and flashing images. Blame it on my ADHD, I guess. So I took an ad off the site that was a text link, and added a small graphical ad that is not “in-your-face” but gets the message across.
I am satisfied with DDC. It is going to go somewhere, I believe, and I am already getting people signed up under me from the use of this widget on a couple of my blogs. It is an easy install - one small line of code, and it rotates daily. I like that, because it offers fresh opportunities daily, and the content of the ads doesn’t get “stale” on me. If you see a little something new daily on your visits, it tends to attract more attention, IMHO. time will tell. It is working form me thus far, and I am satisfied with this passive type of income. Because the site is son new, I think it will take a bit of time for the buzz to be there, but when it doesn’t, I am thinking that it will generate as much interest as the $7 scripts, which I am a big fan of. Time will tell…
