Google Notebook - Another Great Writing Tool

I’ve been a busy old Coon these past few weeks, and the blog has been a bit neglected as of late. My oldest son got married this past weekend, and the usual round of parties, ceremonies, and visiting relatives have taken the toll on an old man who would prefer to just sit in the tower of the Beechler Building and write. All the folks have left for their own home fronts, and now things are beginning to return to normal. Golly gee!
I have just started a series of articles on going green. It is a big project, and ideas have been flying back and forth between my editor, Lauren Blair, and myself. (I’d post a link to her personal blog, but she might not be happy about that). Because the project is so involved, I have had to determine a way to do the required research in a timely manner. There is, of course, a ton of information out there…
Enter Google Notebook. It has become my newest best friend. This handy little item will allow you to clip URL’s, images, portions of text and anything you might wish to save from a web page. It is very organizable, and allows you to comment to each clip so that you don’t get confused with the plethora of information you gather. It can be used in several different ways - minimized to the task bar, floating on your desktop, or as a full page notebook that you can quickly scan through. If you try this great tool, be sure to add comments, if nothing more than why you visited the site.
This is another invaluable tool from Google. I use it daily, and have three different notebooks saved to my page. Because I write on a variety of subjects, this is more than handy. Give it a try. You’ll thank the old Coon later down the road…
