Making Your Articles Stick

If you have had any success with bum marketing, you know that Google works damn quick in sliding your articles down the page.  Making them “sticky” is the best thing to do to insure you stay on top of the engines.

I post a lot of articles using Orwell Pro, and it really helps in making my site visible in the SERP’s.  I always add a commentary at the beginnng of the article as a lead-in, but the content is written by others.  It is the only way that I can post regularly to my blogs, and maintain my sanity.  Yes, I work full time on the web.  But adding content is not always an easy thing to do.  Hence, Orwell Pro…

One of the best ways to maintain position in the SERP’s is to use social bookmarking.  I personally use Onlywire as my bookmarking strategy.  I never use it when posting content written by other authors, but when I actually take the time to write a post, like today, I use it.  It has served me well.

If you are not taking advantage of sites like Squidoo & Technorati, then you of course are leaving a lot of money on the table.  You should also be using Digg to help make those articles sticky.  Some bum marketers advocate for USFreeads.com, but I have not had experience with them, so won’t go there.

It is also advisable to use such article directories like Ezinearticles.Com, Searchwarp, GoArticles, and other high ranking article directories.  I tend to use EzineArticles.com for most of my article marketing.

Always use your keyword phrase in your article title.  The ideal situation would be to have this phrase the name of your website, too.  So, if writing an article on, say, “golf tips” , the make your title thus - “Golf Tips From the Pros, or “Golf Tips - 7 Easy Lessons”.  Ideally, your URL would be http://golftips.com…

The more you write, the better yu get.  I have been writing for over 50 years, so it is natural for me.  Not everyone has that advantage.  Remember this - always work smarter, not harder!

Drive on…

Peace,

Charlie~
