Australia, The Land Down Under

In the early 60’s while serving aboard the USS Canberra (CAG-2), all hands were fired up for an R&R trip to Canberra, Australia. The Canberra was one of only two naval vessels named for a foreign city, and we were insured a hearty welcome when we pulled into port. then the Gulf of Tonkin incident happened, and all the rest is history. Needless to say, our trip to Australia went down the proverbial tubes…
In the past months, I have posted reference to the 60 Day Experiment, an attempt by David Perdew to teach folks how to market an ebook, build a site, and make some coin of the realm. I jumped in to try to learn a little something, and to help as I could. I met some good folk there…
Now, my Aussie friend, Bee Bradtke, that I met on the 60 Day Experiment forum, has launched a site of her own. Bee lives in the tropical north of Australia, works for a sugar cane processing company, and is an expat from Germany. She has been there over 12 years, and is building a site, through SBI.
Bee’s site, Outback Australia Travels Secrets, is rich in content, stunning images, and more information than you can handle.

This is a great site, and well worth the visit, if for only to view the awesome images she provides. Generally, I don’t spend a lot of time at any site, but find myself wandering over there to see what new things she has in store.

I have always wanted to do a “walkabout”, and now at 62 rather think that this is an unfulfilled wish. But after seeing Bee’s site, reading her excellent content, and seeing all these great pictures, the old heartstrings once again pine to travel to the Land Down Under. Bee makes all this possible…

Do yourself the ultimate favor, and spend some time on Bee’s site. And tell her Charlie sent ya…
Peace,
Charlie~
